Understanding how to work with Schools and Local Authorities

SEND Advocacy

Providing effective education advocacy, requires a strong understanding of how schools and local authorities work and communicate. Armed with this knowledge, and having stood in your shoes, we will be with you, not only as educational advocates but also as partners, showing you how to confidently navigate the world of education and interacting with the professionals involved in your child's education.

We understand the critical role of parents and carers in supporting children with SEND. No one cares more about your child than you do; you are your child's best education advocate. As such, our approach to advocacy centres parents and carers to ensure that your concerns about your child's educational needs are heard and acted upon at every stage.

Expertise in Education Law and Policy

Our expertise in special educational needs law and policy both personally and professionaly enables us to provide informed as well as empathetic education advocacy services. We will guide you through the legal framework and the steps needed to secure the right support for your child and the support that is your child's right. You can be confident that our knowledge of law and policy developments is current and comprehensive.

Each family's SEND journey is unique and every child deserves the correct support and understanding from education professionals. That's why our education advocacy is tailored to the individual needs of your child, focusing on your child's strengths as well as their needs so that their unique potential can be seen and fostered.

Parent feedback

We needed support to submit an appeal when our eldest child’s draft EHCP failed to include adequate professional assessments to identify areas of need in communication and sensory processing. Alice provided me with practical and helpful guidance and after speaking with her I felt confident to submit the appeal, which was settled prior to tribunal. Since then, my son has gone on to thrive with a bespoke educational approach which includes speech and language provision that would otherwise have been omitted but has been pivotal to progress in so many aspects of his life.
